2019 January Hunter Cruise - Day 5 - San Juan, Puerto Rico

Day 5 already.... we are in San Juan Puerto Rico again.  Seems like we were just here.  It was Denise's turn to stay with her father and do some easy things with him.  She thought that she would just take him off the boat to get some supplies but when he heard that I wanted to grab the city trolley and circle the city a bit, he was all for that....wheelchair and all.

It turned out really nice even though the 10 minute trolley took over 45 minutes to pass by and it was not the one that we wanted.  But we took it anyway.  It took us into the heart of Old San Juan through some very narrow city streets.  Pretty crazy.  We were back on the boat around 1 PM feeding our faces yet again while Dale took a nap.  Most everyone was also back on the boat from having snorkeled, gone on a Jungle Trek or seen the top 10 sites in San Juan.  So far....great lazy day.  I could get used to this...but then my stomach would explode and I would need more frequent colonoscopy's!  More to come about our evening activities.  We are having some fun.

Evening activities were fun.  We had a Filet Mignon dinner with some nice desserts.   Following dinner, we went to the main show.  It was supposed to be full of singing, dancing and lots of theatrics.  However, the sea has become quite rough and apparently they were going to cancel the show.  But instead the performers decided to do a 'concert' version of the 88 Key Piano show.  And they did a really nice job of singing lots of 'piano' oriented rock tunes.  I quite enjoyed it.  Following dinner, we again went upstairs and played cards with Dale, Julee, Kami, Jeff and Michelle.  Nanette, Bruce, Mike and Jenny retired to their rooms after this show.  I think they were feeling queasy due to the rock of the boat.  It has been rocking pretty good.   Card playing was a lot of fun just playing and visiting (for those of us with iron stomachs).  These are good moments being together laughing and just enjoying each other's company.  We retired around 11 PM...well past my bedtime.  But a few of the others were still going to go to the comedy club...something we'll never do due to the language and content of the later shows. We don't need to hear such language and thoughts expressed in that fashion.  But others really like it.  I'm sure it is funny if you can filter the 'bad' stuff out.  Anyway, we'll soon be in Grand Turks.  And hopefully the sea will be calm enough to dive.

Denise happy to have AT&T....

On our trolley ride...whose that creeper behind them?
